Our Story at The Posy Place
The Posy Place began in the Sydney area by a group of friends; Bella, Seb, and Arielle. The need came about when we struggled to send an affordable bouquet quickly to loved ones. With experience in event/luxury floristry and running a business, we decided to create a home for everyone at The Posy Place.
When Seb traveled back to Europe, an experienced florist, Mel, took over the business. She both brought a passion for delivering high-quality arrangements and the best customer service, transforming it from a garage startup into the thriving online business it is today.
Mel
An award-winning florist, Mel has over 25 years of experience in the floral industry. She started her career in 1998 at Pennant Hills Flowers, while completing a Floristry Certificate at Ultimo TAFE.
Since then, she has worked for many florists, including Harris Farm Markets as a flower buyer inside Sydney Markets. She has experience in weddings, corporate work, graduations, celebrations, formals, and major events.
"Markets are the best part of my day. There is an array of colours and textures all in the one place. It’s a flower overload!" - Mel.
Our Approach
Designed with Love by Superstars
Yep, that's right; Mel is a flower-loving superstar that creates each bouquet just for you! She creates a daily design using the most beautiful seasonal flowers available. We aren’t like other companies, that are slinging flowers together with a dozen single variety stems, cut the same height, bunched and wrapped in more cellophane than should be legal. No way! We design with love and it shows in each and every arrangement.
